Javelin Semiconductor Secures Series B Funding
AUSTIN, Texas – Feb. 26, 2010 – Javelin Semiconductor, Inc., today announced that it closed its second round of funding. The $6.2 million round was led by existing investors Sevin Rosen Funds and Silverton Partners.
Javelin introduced the industry’s best-performing 3G power amplifier (PA) on February 11. The company has 14 patents on its innovative architecture, which provides the industry’s lowest average current and lowest noise in a standard CMOS IC. Javelin’s technology is a significant technological breakthrough that has the potential to initiate an industry-wide shift from traditional GaAs-based products to CMOS PAs. Javelin is actively sampling customers worldwide and will use the proceeds from its series B financing round to move its first product into volume production and continue design work on key additions to its CMOS PA portfolio.
