Javelin Semiconductor Expands Management Team
AUSTIN, Texas – Sept. 15, 2008 – Javelin Semiconductor, Inc., today announced that Patrick Morgan has joined the company as vice president of marketing. Mr. Morgan joins chief financial officer Lori Lowe, vice president of engineering David Bockelman and vice president of manufacturing Abhay Misra on Javelin’s management team, under the leadership of company president and chief executive officer Brad Fluke. Mr. Morgan will lead the definition and introduction of the company’s CMOS RF ICs, develop strategic relationships and expand the company’s sales and marketing teams worldwide.
“Patrick’s engineering background combined with his semiconductor business experience enables him to navigate between our customers and our engineering team to ensure product success,” said Mr. Fluke. “Patrick is a valuable addition to our team where each member brings decades of experience necessary for Javelin’s growth.”
Mr. Morgan has 19 years of combined experience in wireless semiconductor business and RF engineering roles. Previously, he was director of product marketing at Alereon where he was responsible for the world's first commercial ultra-wideband (UWB) chipsets. From 2000 to 2007, he was marketing manager at Silicon Labs responsible for the AeroTM GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G transceiver product line, helping to grow it from early definition to generating over half the company's total revenue. Prior to Silicon Labs, Mr. Morgan held design engineering roles in radar and imaging systems at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab and was an assistant professor of Electromagnetics at Texas A&M University. Mr. Morgan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
